Clare Fonda and Dog Doing Well
I am sorry to have worried people being off the blog for so long. I had a slight exhaustion issue going but as you can see, in a photo taken 4-3-08, my strength is back up, and Maxxxi is keeping an eye on me. I recently went down South to visit my best friend’s and my relatives. This was fine but not a vacation. If anyone out there is calling yearly pilgrimages to visit family a “vacation,” or “holiday” stop fooling yourself. You deserve better and if you’re staying at their place- so do they. That just magnifies the hell. Although having to sleep in the beds at the Super 8 Motel in rural Georgia did make me wish for the comfort of home- anyone’s. I have a fetish for low rent motels but this one crossed the line when I noticed a pubic hair on the shower wall that must have drifted up and stuck. The guy in the office said “I know you. You’ve been here before,” and wagged his finger at me. I think he thought I was a local prostitute, not an out-of-town prostitute. Speaking of , the favorite part of my entire trip was when my friend’s dad, an old-fashioned Southern gent giving me a tour of the town where they filmed “In the Heat of the Night,” turned to me and said “I wish I knew some prostitutes. ” I saw where my best friend got her sense of humor, although her dad was dead serious.
I knew I would come back to some bullshit as my ex boyfriend, who has taken up space as my roommate on and off for the last ten fucking years, always does a bad job of taking care of Maxxxi. The Cameraman and my buddy Amy (a beautiful nordic blond who got spanked growing up - the belt from dad!) helped out a lot with the dog - who throws up in the kennel- but my ex refused to wake up five minutes early in the AM to give him the length of walk he needs. Consequently, Maxxxi had shit all over the bed probably on day 2 of my leave. The ex cleaned it up about half an hour before I got home, so the eye watering stench coming from my bedroom was enough to make me wanna lick the wall of the Super 8 Motel clean with my tongue.
